The main aim is to bridge cultural communication between the UK and Japan, and act as a connection site for those wishing to make British and Japanese friends, whilst at the same time gaining knowledge of the British and Japanese people and cultures.

As well as promoting events and exchange board classifications, UK-JAPAN.net web site gives a better understanding of the UK and Japan through features, reviews, photos, forums and our news pages. UK-JAPAN.net promotes unity, spiritual creativity, and the concept of being a world citizen. We always aim to be informative, creative, and provocative.

Innovators' Studio - In Progress

What? Online studio of Independent films written, directed and edited by Barry Crisp and Justin Watson in collaboration with other artists in the fields of music, documentary, theatre, history, and general social work. The aim is to produce thought provocative short-films in relation to environmental and social issues.

Sub, but related projects will include Innovators’ Studio being official interviewers (of targeted interviewees for other organisations and in-house projects), video promo creators (for other organisations), and conference/summit recorders. All sub projects will be in relation to the initial aim of Innovators’ Studio.

Where? All content produced by Innovators' Studio will be embedded into the website, and distributed via UK-JAPAN.net (being a main host of Innovators’ Studio), Myspace, Facebook, Youtube, Google videos and other sources.

Why? The world needs ripples of change. But most importantly, the project work we are about to embark on is something we both feel very passionate about.

What is unique about Innovators’ Studio? We bring to the arena, comedy and drama as well as rich knowledge, skills and experience in writing (both academic and creative), drama and theatre, music and filmmaking.

Environment:

Innovators’ Studio is affiliated with many nature-watch charities and individuals, of whom have the sole purpose of protecting our natural surroundings. Innovators’ Studio regularly researches (in cooperation with such charities and individuals) the affect/consequences of human development on animals, plants, and trees etc.

Innovators’ Studio is proactive in educating the importance of recycling both locally and globally.

The highest priority of Innovators’ Studio is to change the attitude of people towards the environment and try to make people realise that the environment is simply their means of survival and that it should be treated with utmost respect and understanding.

Social:

Innovators’ Studio has a priority in providing people a way of how to improve their overall well being: mentally, physically, and spiritually. By improving the well-being of people, the Innovators’ Studio hopes that this will lead onto a genuine respectful understanding about the relations between themselves and other people. This will hopefully create peace and harmony in a community where well-being and social decency is lacking.

Innovators’ Studio is dedicated to improving the relations amongst different cultures living around the world. Innovators’ Studio hopes to achieve this by educating individuals on some of the outstanding attributes that cultures may have – and celebrate it.

The Innovators’ Studio also notices that a certain culture/race may have difficulties in terms of self esteem, acceptance and equality; Innovators’ Studios works with people from different backgrounds specialising in their respected culture/race, in order to empower people in their particular culture/race towards self esteem, acceptance and equality. Justin Watson (the founder of Innovators’ Studio) currently utilises this method in his own Black community.
